The Vital Companies believe strongly in giving back to our community.  We've partnered with such organizations as Komen Race for the Cure, Easter Seals, The Girl Scouts, United Way, and Dress for Success to name a few.

We have also developed our own programs including the Vital Film School provided free each summer for teens.  The program is a team oriented hands-on 4-week course teaching the basics of filmmaking complete with a screening of the films and an awards ceremony. The program was conceived and developed by us at Vital Film Works in the first year of operation. It’s a great opportunity for teens who wouldn’t otherwise get the chance to learn about filmmaking. To date, the program is completely funded and staffed by Vital.

The Vital Script Contest, held each winter, encourages teens to submit scripts to be judged by industry professionals.  A scriptwriting workshop is held during the contest to help teens develop and format their scripts. The winning script is then shot and produced professionally by us. It’s another opportunity to give kids a chance to experience the arts when so many programs are being cut in the schools.  Again, this program is fully funded and staffed solely by Vital.

We also believe in keeping the arts scene alive in the downtown area providing marketing and production support for the Goodale Park Music Series.
