Marketing614 welcomes John Daugherty, Film Commissioner at Film Columbus! Film Columbus' purpose is to enrich the community through the art and business of film and works to get Columbus recognized as a top city for film production, education, and exhibition. Find out how John markets Columbus to the film industry and how the organization benefits our great city!

In this episode, John goes into detail about the benefits that Columbus offers filmmakers, from tax incentives to providing a library of resources for crew, casting, required permits, and filming locations. Film Columbus also promotes film education among the city's youth with programs such as the Teen Script Writing Contest, where local kids 12-18 have the opportunity to write a screenplay and have it produced. Film Columbus truly enriches our community through jobs, education, and exposure to the arts.

For "Brand This Thing", John is put to the test when he's asked to brand a random object. He unknowingly comes surprisingly close to the object's actual purpose, which is a first for Marketing614. To be fair, how many people have seen a dish towel scarf?

In our Mt. Rushmore segment, John tells us which four brands he'd place on Mt. Rushmore and why he thinks they excel and stand out in the marketing world.
